For 106 years, Jewish Family Service of St. Paul has been meeting the needs or our community’s most vulnerable members. Initially founded to assist Jews from Eastern Europe to resettle in the St. Paul area, JFS has developed into a multi-program agency serving individuals and families regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation. Today JFS provides the following services:
Individual and family counseling
Kosher Meals on Wheels
Emergency Financial Assistance
Information and referral
Bi-lingual services to Russian speakers
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, JFS provides services to more than 1,500 people annually.
$18 will bring a holiday gift basket to a low-income family, or will deliver a resource kit to two caregivers facing emotional challenges.
$60 will provide personalized job coaching to someone seeking employment or a promotion.
$120 will provide a counseling session to help individuals and families overcome depression, anxiety, low self-esteem or other challenges, or will provide a professionally created resume for a job seeker.
$180 will provide a month of living assistance and Meals on Wheels to a Holocaust survivor.
$300 will provide six months of behavioral intervention to help a depressed older adult improve their sense of well-being.
$500 will deliver emergency assistance so a family can avoid foreclosure or eviction.
$750 will enable four seniors to receive services so they can remain living independently in their home with dignity.
$1000 will provide care management for four people with disabilities
