JFS invites women who are navigating or embarking on a mid-life journey to another session of the popular Next Chapter Series on Sunday, January 12 in the JFS Board Room. Participation is free; however registration is required.
Psychologist Ruth Markowitz will help the group explore aging and friendships. When we were young, we went to college or work where we were sure to meet people who were also looking for friendships. We were in groups with new mothers, started new jobs and joined religious institutions with new folks eager for connection.
As we age it can feel like there are fewer new places to meet people. We can become overwhelmed by the losses of what felt like the fabric of our lives and aren’t sure how to begin again.
The time of this session is slightly longer, from 10:00AM to noon. Refreshments will be available beginning at 9:45AM.
