JFS Community Chaplain Rabbi Lynn Liberman, BCC, will teach Jewish Medical Ethics: End of Life Decision Making. The class will be offered on Thursday, May 14 and 21 from 7:00 to 8:30PM via Zoom. Rabbi Liberman has been a Melton Ethics instructor for the past five years. She also serves on the Ethics Committee for Children’s Hospital of Minnesota. In addition to her work as Community Chaplain, Rabbi Liberman works as a hospice chaplain for Health East Hospice and an on-call chaplain for Regions Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Hospital.
Jewish tradition has grappled with end of life decisions for centuries. During the first session, the class will explore a rich array of Jewish texts on the topic. In the second session, the class will have the opportunity to engage with Rabbi Liberman and a panel of doctors about real and present issues faced today.

This class is co-sponsored by Hineni and Jewish Family Service of St. Paul.
