JFS Community Chaplain Teaches in Israel

At the beginning of March, JFS Community Chaplain Rabbi Lynn Liberman was invited to teach the Clinical Pastoral Education students learning Spiritual Care skills as part of Kashuvot, Israel’s largest chaplaincy training program.

Over the course of two days, Rabbi Lynn taught more than 40 students located at Baruch Padeh (Poriya) Medical Center in Tiberias and at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center – Ichilov Hospital, Israel’s largest acute care facility. “It was an honor to tour these facilities, meet some of the chaplains, the training instructors and together with students, think about and deepen their capacity to provide spiritual care to patients in these facilities,” said Rabbi Lynn.
