Kever Avot – A Service of Memory

The twin cities community is invited to join together for a special service of memory for your loved ones on Sunday, September 24 at 10:00 a.m. This brief service is an opportunity to be together with others in person at Hodroff-Epstein Memorial Chapel at 126 E Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis or via zoom in honor of our dearly departed.

Kever Avot – A Service of Memory is a time to recall and honor those who have died in this past year. Based on the Jewish tradition to visit the graves of our deceased family members in the days in between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, this brief service will provide a time to reflect upon and remember the lives of those who are no longer with us as well as to honor their memory.

The service will include reciting and singing of Psalms, other music and customary prayers. Following the service, all attendees will receive traditional ritual items to help them further mark this loss through personal ceremonies with family and friends.

The service is presented by JFS Community Chaplain Rabbi Lynn Liberman in partnership with Hodroff-Epstein Memorial Chapel.
