JFS Awarded Mardag Foundation Grant
JFS has been awarded a grant totaling $20,000 from Mardag Foundation. Mardag Foundation makes grants to nonprofit organizations and public entities in the East Metro and Greater Minnesota areas. Foundation is focused on improving the lives of low-income children, youth and families that lack access to critical opportunities and resources that they need; supporting older adults across Minnesota who lack access or have barriers to critical opportunities to thrive and create community connections; and building capacity to improve community vitality through arts and culture.
The grant will be used to support the general operating expenses required to provide critical human services and family support including aging services, kosher meals on wheels, emergency financial assistance and counseling and therapy.
