Next Chapter for Women to Meet in April 2023

JFS invites all who identify as women and are navigating the mid-life journey to join the popular Next Chapter for Women on Sunday, April 23 from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at our office at 1633 W. 7th Street in St Paul. The series is designed to help women re-imagine new possibilities for the future and take the first steps in moving forward.

This month’s topic will be gender identity. Join us for a discussion with Lindsey Hoskins, Health Education Director, from Family Tree Clinic. The goal of this session is to better understand the topic of gender identity and how to support people in our lives. There will be plenty of time for Q & A.

Lindsey Hoskins is a deeply committed, self-proclaimed “sex nerd” who graduated from the University of MN with a degree in sex education. She dove into this work in 1999 and fell in love with helping folks get comfy and start talking about topics that can often be challenging.

Lindsey joined Family Tree is 2002. In 2017, her book, Principles of Pleasure: Working with the Good Stuff as Sex Therapists and Educators, was released. Her mother is very proud.

Lindsey shared these resources for those who would like to learn more before the session. First, this podcast by Alok Vaid-Menon talks about gender. And this video talks about what it means to be intersex, led by Emily Quinn.

RSVP your attendance to JFS Community Programs Coordinator Anne Myers at amyers@jfssp.org or call (651) 359-7775.

Next Chapter Series is free and open to all; however, donations are appreciated at jfssp.org/donate.
