Looking Back with Gratitude, Forward with Hope

As we near the end of 2022, many reflect on another difficult year for so many neighbors. We’ve gone from the isolation and dangers of a global pandemic to the uncertainty of an economy that is putting every day essential purchases out of reach for too many.

Time after time, client after client, JFS staff rise to each challenge and deliver the critical services and programs needed by so many in our community. Through their work, the perseverance of our clients, and the support of our donors and volunteers, we collectively strive to ensure that no one in our community is left behind due to their economic circumstances. We do this work, guided by our mutual values of chesed (kindness), tzedakah (justice), and tikkun olam (repairing the world), because they bind us together with the understanding that we have a shared responsibility to each other.

Now, as 2022 ends, we need your support at this critical juncture for JFS. In the last two years, we have responded to unprecedented need in the community, but that has come at a cost. As our expenses continue to rise, and our clients continue to be disproportionately affected by economic strains, it’s never been more important to support our work to ensure critical services remain available in the community. Your donation before the end of the year is needed now more than ever.
