Meet New JFS Aging & Disability Services Director Alex Locke

Alex Locke has been hired as the new Aging & Disability Services Director at JFS. In this leadership position, he will establish, direct and maintain specific programs and initiatives within the ADS department. Alex will also supervise and empower the staff of contracted case management services and other aging programs. “We are delighted to welcome Alex to the JFS family,” said JFS CEO Ruth Olkon. “His vast experience throughout the Twin Cities non-profit settings positions him well to serve as JFS’ liaison with our many community partners.”

A non-profit leader for nearly 20 years, Alex most recently held the position of director of family engagement for Herzl Camp. Prior to that, he served as the executive director of Beth Jacob Congregation. He spent more than a decade as the director of youth and adult services for Bloomington Community Education from 2010 to 2020 where he was responsible for supervising multiple departments across 15 buildings and more than over 150 staff.

“I am truly thrilled to be joining the JFS team,” said Alex. “I have worked in the Jewish community since 2001 and I have always been impressed with the commitment and service at JFS. The amount of people served by JFS each year is incredible and I am truly excited to be a part of the organization.”

Alex grew up in St. Paul. He now makes his home in Lakeville with his husband, Chad and their dog, Joey.
