Kever Avot – A Service of Memory to Honor Lost Loved Ones

JFS Community Chaplain Rabbi Lynn Liberman, BCC, and Cantor Deb Winston will lead Kever Avot – A Service of Memory, Sunday, October 2, 10:30AM at Hodroff-Epstein Memorial Chapel, 126 East Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis. Kever Avot is a time to recall and honor those who have died during the past year. Based on the Jewish tradition to visit the graves of deceased family members in the days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, this brief service will provide a time to reflect upon and remember the lives of those who have died. The service will also be offered via Zoom.

The service will include reciting and singing of Psalms, other music and customary prayers. Attendees will receive traditional ritual items to help them further mark their loss through personal ceremonies with family and friends.

The community is invited to join this special service of memory for loved ones. For more information or to receive the Zoom link, please contact Rabbi Lynn Liberman at (651) 434-4112 or by email or Hodroff-Epstein at (612) 871-1234.
