JFS Receives Additional Grant Funding

JFS Favicon

JFS has received two grants to be used to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in addition to the Otto Bremer Trust grant it received in April.

The St. Paul Jewish Federation awarded a $20,000 grant to JFS from its emergency COVID-19 grant funds. The funds come from a grant the Federation received from the Minnesota Council on Foundations and is intended to help organizations support vulnerable communities impacted by COVID-19. The grant will be used to support additional demand for Kosher Meals on Wheels and provide emergency financial assistance to the community.

JFS has also received a $35,000 grant from the F.R. Bigelow Foundation that funds initiatives to enhance the quality of life in the St. Paul area. The grant will be used to support aging services at JFS.

Kosher Meals on Wheels provides nutritious kosher meals to homes in the St. Paul area. Emergency Financial Assistance helps with expenses related to housing, utilities, transportation and some health expenses. Aging services ensure clients and their caregivers have the physical and emotional support, information and services they need to live successfully and safely in their own homes.
