Volunteers Needed for Passover for All

Passover for All

JFS is recruiting volunteers to help with the annual community outreach effort Passover for All. In partnership with the JCC, kosher-for-Passover food and supplies are provided to families to help them celebrate the holiday.

Volunteer to assemble supplies on Tuesday, March 24 beginning at 7:00PM at JFS. Keshet Berlinsky Edry, the Shlicha (Israeli emissary) from St. Paul Jewish Federation, will give a presentation on Good Deeds Day as part of the Federation’s Lev el Lev (heart to heart) series of events. Good Deeds Day originated in Israel to unite people from around the world to do good deeds for others and the planet. Today, it’s celebrated in 108 countries and millions of people volunteer.

JFS also invites volunteers to help deliver the supplies in more than 150 gift bags to JFS clients in the Highland, West 7th Street and Macalester-Groveland neighborhoods. Bags can be picked up at JFS and delivered any day from March 25 to April 6.

It’s a simple way to meet some of the people who benefit from the services offered by JFS. This is a perfect family mitzvah activity where you can teach the young people in your life about the importance of helping others.

Register to assemble or deliver gift bags here. Russian-speaking volunteers are especially needed. Contact JFS Volunteer Engagement Specialist Margie Solomon at (651) 690-8907 or email her here for more information.
