Help Improve Air Travel for People with Dementia and Their Travel Companions

A new online survey has been launched to collect air travel experiences of persons living with dementia and their travel companions, from booking flights to arriving at their travel destination.

The MSP Dementia-Friendly Airport Project is led by Roseville Alzheimer’s and Dementia Community Action Team (Roseville A/D) and includes officials from MSP, the Brisbane Airport project’s lead organizer Dr. Maria O’Reilly, and researchers at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.

This survey is available here and will remain open through September 15, 2019.

The project needs your help to gather as many responses to the survey as possible. Results of the survey may lead to new training for airport staff, an analysis of services and navigation within the airport, and new materials to help travelers.
