Register Now for New Volunteer Opportunity

The St. Paul Mitzvah Corp is a new volunteer opportunity that allows volunteers to participate in unique, impactful activities that serve JFS clients, the Jewish community, and partner agencies throughout the metro area.

To kick off this collaboration, The Corp is partnering with Sholom and Open Arms Minnesota to begin the growing process this spring. It will assist Open Arms in nourishing their seriously-ill clients with fresh veggies grown with love.

By working alongside a resident, volunteers can help them experience an activity they enjoy, socialize with you and other residents, and realize the joy that a sense of purpose and accomplishment can provide.

The produce grown will be used by Open Arms Minnesota to cook and deliver free, nutritious meals to people living with life-threatening illnesses in the Twin Cities.

Register here to help residents plant seedlings on April 8 and May 2. No gardening experience is necessary. Continue volunteering during the season to care for the seedlings; transplant them outdoors; care for the plants in the raised-bed gardens; harvest; prepare the vegetables in the Open Arms kitchen; and deliver the food you helped create.

Watch for more St. Paul Mitzvah Corp opportunities coming soon.
