JFS invites women who are navigating mid-life challenges to join the popular Next Chapter Series on Sunday, September 11 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. at our office at 1633 W. 7th Street in St Paul. The series is designed to help women re-imagine new possibilities for the future and take the first steps in moving forward.

This month’s topic will be “Discovering Body Positivity: A Viewing and Discussion of Good Luck to You, Leo Grande.”

Let’s move the conversation about women’s bodies, sexuality and pleasure from shameful to shameless! Take a note from Gen Z and explore body positivity at all ages. Rethink the messages you received about what is and is not acceptable for women to say, want and do.

As Mashable writes: “Katy Brand’s spectacularly sharp script for Good Luck to You, Leo Grande is full of witticisms…with every moment fueled by smart discussion of sex, sex work, how important consent and respecting boundaries are to mutual pleasure, and of thinking beyond your own experience. We will view the film from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Discussion will follow from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. A light breakfast will be provided with mimosas to set the mood! Those who have already seen the film or wish to view it ahead of time on Hulu may join us for the discussion portion only.
