Next Chapter Series: Cultivating Self-Compassion
JFS invites women who are navigating mid-life challenges to join the Next Chapter Series: Cultivating Self-Compassion on Sunday, August 15, from 10:00 to 11:15AM at JFS, 1633 West Seventh in St. Paul.
This series is designed to help women re-imagine new possibilities for the future and take the first steps in moving forward. The interactive series will inspire and energize you as you begin to turn these possibilities into realities.
Do you have an inner critic that judges you if you are less than perfect or make a mistake? How could being more compassionate towards yourself change the way you interact with others and contribute to the world? Self-compassion fosters understanding and kindness toward oneself during times of personal difficulty or failure. Our upcoming Next Chapter session will focus on ways to foster psychological strength and flexibility to help us move beyond life’s challenges with compassion and resilience.
JFS Therapist Beth Johnson, LMFT, will lead the program and help participants understand how intentional practices can bring opportunities to “be with” ourselves in an accepting, comforting way, being more present with the challenges we face.
This program is free; however, donations are appreciated at jfssp.org/donate. For more information, contact Margie Solomon, JFS Community Program and Volunteer Coordinator at (651) 303-2999.
