Freedom Song Musical Coming to St. Paul

Posted on by Molly Kitching

JFS is bringing “Freedom Song” to the auditorium of St. Paul JCC on Wednesday, November 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Freedom Song” is an original musical production that examines the impact of addiction on a Jewish family and a celebration of the strength of the family to accept challenges and overcome shame and fear.

The production showcases a family celebrating a Passover Seder while also confronting the impact of addiction on the entire gathering. Interspersed are scenes from a 12-step meeting, giving an inside look at the process of recovery.

“Freedom Song” was created and performed by individuals who are current or past residents of Beit T’Shuvah, an inter-denominational Jewish treatment program in Los Angeles.

Registration is $10 per person and can be purchased online at https://jfssp.org/attend-freedom-song/ or at the JFS office. Call JFS at (651) 698-0767 for more information.
