18th Annual Conference on Mental Health Registration Now Open
The 18th Annual Conference on Mental Health will be offered on Sunday, October 21 from 10AM to 4PM at Temple Israel, 2323 Fremont Avenue South in Minneapolis. The conference raises awareness, reduces stigma, and offers education and support to individuals and families.
The title of this year’s conference is Hope, Humor & Healing: Finding Light in Dark Places and will feature keynote speaker John Moe, host of the podcast The Hilarious World of Depression. The podcast includes some of America’s funniest comedians and personalities talking about their own experiences and struggles with depression, anxiety, and attempted suicide, among other things.
There will be 28 workshops to choose from; free kosher box lunch with registration by Oct. 5; free transportation from St. Paul JCC on request; and ASL interpretation during keynote sessions.
